The Sweetest Sound
Last night I drove my two year old granddaughter home after church. Evidently she’d learned some new songs in Sunday school class. I couldn’t keep from smiling as I drove. The sound of her little voice singing, “I like to go to church” was one of the sweetest sounds I’ve ever heard. Her joy and happiness were so pure and obvious.
Going to church should strengthen and refresh us spiritually. When others look at us do they see the joy of Jesus in us?
How do you reflect the joy of having the Savior in your life?

Welcome to blogdom! Blogging is one of the ways I reflect that joy and singing is another — though I tend to do it away from other folks who tend not to appreciate it so much! 8^)
Looking forward to hearing from you on A Kindred Heart!

I’m so glad to “see” you here! I have long enjoyed reading your articles appearing on Heartlight, so I know this blog will also be a blessing to many. I absolutely love Phil’s articles (even when he steps on my toes) and enjoy his blog (guess I oughta let him know, huh?). Adding a woman’s blog to Heartlight will just add more opportunities for blessing.
Looking forward to this!

I would love to be on your daily email list. I am the mother of four and would love to fill myself up with Jesus from as many sources as possible. Thanks for your dedication to Him!

I have never writin anything like this before. I find your opening article different that most postings. Yes we need more people to step forward in Jesus name. I do hope that your blog helps do that.

I am glad to see this as a part of the Heartlight offerings. Music has always been a way that God touches my heart. There is nothing more precious that listening to the sweet voices of grandchildren singing about God.
Thanks for starting this blog. I will be a regular.

Hi Teresa, Congratulations on the birth of your blog! I look forward to reading your thoughts, and would like to subscribe, however, I am not sure where I do that. Or am I doing it right now, by responding to your intro? If you could let me know, I would be happy to do whatever I need to to begin getting your posts! Thanks, Robin

Conversation should be a sharing instead of a competition, but sometimes it seems we are too interested in how we appear to others when we “answer” a thing. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if something like this blog could allow women to share and compare without competitiveness. Learning is always a sharing process in which the teacher learns as much as the pupil. That is probably why God gave us children such as your granddaughter. They are not “into” competitiveness at that age unless we promote it. Simple joy and happiness is worth learning–especially from a child.
Thank you for the opportunity to share and compare.

i have been writing for the LORD & teaching HIS many kids in Church for the past 15yrs in the Philippines. indeed JESUS should be seen in our lives wherever we go. and even if times are tough anywhere else in the world today, we just have to trust & believe that GOD is still in control and HE will help all HIS children get through! more power of GOD for you, Ma’m, in all the work you do for HIS glory!

I’ve never blogged before so this is my first time. Heartlight is part of my everyday and I thought this would be a safe and enlightening site to blog. How do I reflect the joy of having the Savior in my life? I try to look each person I acknowledge throughout my days, directly in the eye. God’s love is everywhere!

One way I reflect the “Joy” of having Jesus my Savior in my life is offering to pray for others, I look around and see women hurting all around me and want them to know there is a God who cares for them as much as He cares for me. I often experience weeping just for the offer to pray with them and for them. Too often the worlds view of God is that you don’t bother Him unless it is something huge, or they don’t even think to pray. God has given me abundant life and I need to overflow it to others and “that” only makes me more joyful. What a delight to have a place for women!
